Besides providing good corrosion resistance and edge retention, the steel is easy to sharpen to a very fine edge. The contoured Griv-Ex scales are large enough for almost any hand size. The slight downturn towards the pommel enables effective chopping and multiple hand positions. A generous choil helps when more precision for detailed cuts is required.
